You will be responsible for the development of future SANY Gearbox concepts, including system engineering, gear-bearings calculation, and manufacturing-testing. The goal will be to take to the next level current multi-MW gearbox designs ensuring cost-effective and reliability. Specifically, you will be responsible for:
1. Take leadership role on defining gearbox architecture and calculations for SANY platforms and market demands.
2. Align with all stakeholders participating in the Gearboxes development such as cooling, lubrication, material, manufacturing, CMS and testing stakeholders.
3. Serve as an expert in your field of engineering.
4. Visiting suppliers and wind energy fairs exploring new technologies which have a potential to be implemented in SANY products.
5. Defining the internal rules regarding design guidelines, best practices and how to improve our documentation in our Engineering Change Management system.
6. Cost benefit studies and business case calculations.
7. Risk analysis.
1. BS/MS Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Power Engineering, or similar field with Wind Energy emphasis.
2. More than 10 years of experience in Design/Product Development of Gearboxes in the wind turbine.
3. More than 5 years of experience in gear and bearing calculation within relevant WT manufacturers.
4. Journal bearing experience will be an advantage.
5. Gearbox cooling and lubrication system experience will be valued.
6. Working knowledge of FEA Software will be valuated Abaqus, ANSYS, among others. · Fluent in English, written and spoken. Chinese will be valued.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Willingness to travel approximately 30-40 days per year (when we are back to normality).
